October is Respect Life Month. It can be easy to categorize the idea of being ‘pro-life’ to simply being anti-abortion. However, life is precious and sacred from natural conception to natural death.
Pope Francis has shown what it means to be pro-life in all of life’s stages. Here are fifteen pictures from throughout the papacy that show that Pope Francis is a lover of life at all stages.
1. When he showed us that newborns’ lives are worthy of love
2. When he let sick children know that they are loved, too
3. And that inmates in prison deserve mercy and love
4. When he taught us that pro-life means providing opportunities for education and growth
5. And that those who suffer from disabilities are still cherished
6. When he showed us that the physical appearance of someone doesn’t affect how much they are worthy of human dignity
7. And just because someone has made mistakes does not mean their life is not beautiful
8. Because all life is precious
9. And age is not a factor when it comes to how much love someone deserves as a child of God
10. When he showed us that just because someone is different than you doesn’t mean they don’t deserve love and respect
11. He has taught us how to humbly love all life
12. And that life at all stages is amazing and worth participating in
13. Because life is exciting
14. And beautiful
15. And all life deserves respect
