2. What is Vocation?
“Vocation” refers to our specific call from God to live a life of holiness, service, and love in a particular state or role. Each of us is called by God to live a life of holiness, regardless of our particular state in life. This Universal Call to Holiness is the foundation of every vocation. Within that God calls individuals to specific paths or roles such as marriage, the priesthood, or religious life. Or, like today’s saint, multiple of these at different seasons of life.
