1. The Immaculate Heart of Mary
All Saturdays throughout the year are a special opportunity for devotion to Mary. In last Sunday’s Gospel we heard Simeon’s prophesy to Mary that “you yourself a sword will pierce”. We see this sword depicted in images of Mary’s Immaculate Heart. As Catholics, we have devotion to Mary’s Heart which represents her interior self and innermost being. Her Heart is immaculate because she is free from sin and corruption.
