Have you always dreamed of owning a Lamborghini? Your prayers have been answered. Pope Francis’ one-of-a-kind, custom white Lamborghini Huracán is back up for grabs.
Last May, the car was auctioned off at RM Sotheby’s. With no reserve price, people gathered in the room the car was housed, online, and on the telephone to place their bids. The auction winner paid $937,845.48 for the unique car autographed by Pope Francis.
But for some reason, that winning bid didn’t go through.
Details are unknown on exactly what happened this past May that caused the mix up. But someone’s loss can be your gain this time around. Instead of taking the Lamborghini back to the auction house, Pope Francis is holding a contest to offer the car to anyone for just $10.
Okay, there’s a slight catch. That $10 actually gets you 1,000 raffle tickets. If you want to stack the odds in your favor, you can buy 50,000 chances to win for $5,000.
The contest is open to the entire world, although residents of Belgium, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Singapore, Sudan, Syria, and Thailand are not eligible to win due to local laws and restrictions.
If your lucky ticket is drawn, you and a guest will also be flown to the Vatican, stay in a 4-star hotel, and personally meet Pope Francis and Lamborghini CEO, Stefano Domenicali.
All proceeds of the raffle are going to help Charities Aid Foundation of America, which helps support countries devastated by war, assists victims of human trafficking, and provides medical care and education to those living in poverty.
What are you waiting for? Go get that ticket!
