Fathers Keith Romke and Kyle Manno, along with Bishop David Malloy of the Diocese of Rockford, Illinois, had a bit of fun on their way to a recent youth summit. They took the drive as an opportunity to parody the most popular sketch of “The Late Late Show” on CBS, following Carpool Karaoke beat for beat.

It begins with Fr. Manno on the phone asking Fr. Romke to ride with him because he doesn’t know where he’s going.

After he picks up Fr. Romke, Fr. Manno apologizes for taking him away from his Chinese food. “My only goal for all you can eat sushi is that they regret letting me in the door.”

The conversation turns to their favorite bands. Fr. Romke’s is Matt Maher (YES!!), while Fr. Manno’s is JT – Justin Timberlake.

And that’s when the music starts.

Then Fr. Romke gets a call from Bishop Malloy.

After Bishop Malloy gets in, Fr. Manno asks about his vocation to the priesthood. Bishop Malloy’s response began with, “Well, I like to say that the hound of Heaven was nipping at my heels.”

With the World Series that weekend, Fr. Romke has to ask about the Cubs.

The conversation then turns to pets. Bishop Malloy admits to growing up with black dogs with white around the necks (Father Fido!) and then calls for the conversion of cats.
