Your tree is still up, right? RIGHT?? What’s on top? Back when I was growing up, there were only two choices for Christmas tree toppers. You could either go with an angel or a star. As I understand it, the star on the Christmas tree is meant to represent the Star of Bethlehem. An angel on the tree represents the angel Gabriel from the Nativity of Jesus.
Well, it seems that over time, we have moved away from that just a bit. People are putting all kinds of things on top of their trees. Some of them are fun, but do they really help us to remember what Christmas is all about? I don’t know if it is the over marketing or secularization of Christmas. Maybe people just see the Christmas tree as a form of expression. Either way, this may be the only time you have to decide if you want to go with an angel, a star, or Yoda. Why don’t you have a look at these and see what you think. Is it a bad thing to something creative on your tree?
Traditional
Traditional doesn’t have to mean boring. As always, there is beauty in tradition.
Star
Angel
Religious
These seem pretty close to the traditional tree toppers. Maybe not a bad way to go.
Seasonal
I think these are pretty nice. They are creative and fun.
It still has a star and a saint. If that thing spins, then I say this is the winner.
At least it’s edible.
Tree hugging snowman? Sure, why not?
Movies
If I had to go with something other than the traditional topper, I would probably go with one of these.
Choose a topper, you must.
That’s no moon… That’s a tree topper.
What’s this? What’s this?
Ugh!! Let it go…
Gryffindor!!!
No witty quote here. I actually think this is just well thought out and cool.
By far my favorite. Love this movie.
Funny or Huh?
What do we put on top of the tree? I got it!! Hand me that rubber chicken and tiny Santa suit.
Not sure at all what’s going on here.
Call the fire department.
Good dog!!
So, what do you think? Should we keep it traditional, or have a little fun with our Christmas tree toppers?
