“I once was lost, but now am found” former stray shows us his new home and his life at the monastery. Carmelo, the schnauzer, is enjoying life now following his adoption by the brothers of the Franciscan monastery of San Francisco, Cochabamba, Bolivia.
His official title is “Friar Bigoton” translated to “Friar Mustache”. Dressed in his custom made Franciscan habit, he is easily the cutest little Frier ever!
Here he shows us how he is enjoying life, playing, running, and relaxing with the brothers. It is apparent by the pictures that this furry Frier is bringing just as much joy to his new family.
He even has a whole album dedicated to him on Facebook.
He takes being a Frier very seriously, bringing the message of the gospel to the other creatures lucky enough to join him in living at the monastery.
It is only fitting that this little dog has been welcomed by brothers in the order of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
“If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.” ~ St Francis of Assisi
