Like many days in our church year, today is shared among various saints who all claim today as their feast. Other saints today include St. Joseph of Arimathea who provided the tomb for Jesus’ burial, St. Gertrude of Nivelles patron saint against mice, and St. Ambrose of Alexandria who was martyred by the Hussites.
