1. Happy Feast of St. Joseph!

2. Actually…Happy Solemnity!

The feast of St. Joseph is actually ranked as a solemnity. These are the highest type of feast in the Church year and include things like Christmas and the Assumption of Mary. All Sundays are solemnities. St. Joseph is one of just a few saints whose feast days are solemnities. Even though this solemnity falls during Lent, if you get to Mass today expect 3 readings (like a Sunday) and even the Gloria. For more on the difference between types of feast days check out this Q and A from EWTN.

4. Prayers

Check out this post from the EpicPew archives with prayers to St. Joseph including the Memorare to St. Joseph below!

Remember, O most chaste Spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession was left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power, I fly unto you, and beg your protection. Despise not, O foster-father of the Redeemer, my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.
