Holy Week: our week to contemplate all that Christ did for us, mourn his suffering and death, and all while preparing for the celebration of easter!
Of course Easter baskets are not a need. However, if they are a part of your tradition, here are some last minute ideas! Just in case you need a helping hand.
First, run to the store and grab some chocolate eggs and bunnies, maybe some amazing starburst jelly beans—because they rock. What do bunnies have to do with anything? Fertility. New life in Christ. And chocolate for celebrating!
Run to your local Catholic book store and leaf through some amazing titles or ask them for recommendations. Shining Light dolls, Tiny Saints, rosaries, coffee (because parents deserve some delicious magic bean juice to help them keep up with the jelly bean sugared up tiny humans!). This is your time, seize the day and support your local Catholic businesses. If they aren’t close, maybe they would be willing to ship fast! Give them a call and see what your options are.
If they don’t have what you are looking for or you don’t have a religious bookstore nearby, here are some options from Catholic businesses via the good people at Amazon:

Speaking of Saint Joseph, it’s his year, why not add a family statue of him?
Or a giant banner!!!
Or how about a saint doll or rosary safe for even the smallest members of the family?
Egg hunt! Almost forgot the egg hunt!!!
Okay, I think that’s enough to get you started!
Happy Easter! Now, let’s get back to Holy Week.
